April 30, 2022 Week 10 and Frosty buds!
May 1, 2022 Decided some height was in order so the light could get more penetration
May 3, 2022 Still not good at this, but you can see the trichomes. So many. So frosty
May 4, 2022 May the fourth be with you. Could anyone explain where I should clean up? I know it's late in flower, but she's too bushy. Thanks!
May 5, 2022 Had to do some crazy defoliation. Eek

Impressions about plant

April 30, 2022
The first day of week 10 and Moonlight is looking amazing. She's getting frosty and drinking a good amount of water. Honestly, these pictures do zero justice for the beauty of this plant. She's not tall, but she is bushy and getting lots of nice sized buds. I'm guessing I have about 2 more weeks before harvest. So I'll be gradually replenishing the reservoir and other watering tools with straight distilled. Over this week and next. I don't think I will be flushing. But straight distilled water should clear up any excess nutrients and be ready for a nice and clean harvest. Can't wait to see her yield.
Update: I found a small rusty looking spot this evening. Not sure if I should be worried or not. She's in the later flower stage.

I did a tiny bit of defoliation last night. Some lower discolored fan leaves. I'm not seeing any signs of stress, but she has so many leaves, I don't think a few fan leaves are going to hurt at all. I may take a few more leaves tomorrow. Today is recovery day. She was definitely light this morning as well. I gave her 100ml top watering and 400ml bottom watering. I'll check on her in a few hours to see where she's at weight wise. Speaking of watering, I have already started my dilution process and should be on straight distilled in about a week. I may try to extend it a bit longer depending on how she looks.
Update: I decided that the grow light was too low in the tent itself. So most of my grow area was narrowed way to far down. So I stuck a pasta strainer under her and jacked my light up. Learn to do new things everyday. Immediately improved her under canopy lighting. I found a couple of drooping leaves that are directly blocking the under canopy light. So I'll be snipping those down tomorrow night.

No stress whatsoever from the few leaves I snipped off 2 days ago. And I definitely needed to remove a few more today. There are still a bunch of useless leaves around the bottom and sides of the colas. Large ones. I'm gonna leave them for now but I will be snipping off 2 more tomorrow night. Then I should be done and all bud sites have some direct access to the light. I fed her 500 ml this morning. She drank about 700 ml yesterday total. It's kinda tough to guage how much her intake actually is with the blumats running. She might be drinking 800 ml per day. 100 ml or so from the blumats and then 700 from hand feeding. And I don't have a guage on my reservoir. I just know it's going down. But based on Moonlight herself, I see no stress or anything. It seems she has either a nutrient deficiency or she's just starting to pull nutrients from her leaves. Although, I did accidentally spray nutrient juice on a couple leaves. Some do seem to have suffered burn where others look like she is starting to use her leaves. It could be the fact that I'm decreasing her nutrient juice potency through the week. Update: she's doing just fine. A bit of research and I'm happy.

Ok, so I'm confused. I'm a brand new grower. I have zero experience. However, this plant, while shorter than I like, is beyond flourishing. She has been in the prayer position for the entire grow. Is that a good thing? I feel like I did something wrong and she's pretending to be happy. Sounds a whole hell of a lot like my ex wife. Except she left. Moonlight is sticking around. But still, I don't understand why she is like this. Am I doing that well? Did I get lucky? Or is it really that simple to get started? My training isn't perfect, but that will come with practice. Still I'm running into instead of foliage being too dense it's now more the colas causing the dense canopy. The colas are now developing trichomes all the way down the branches. There's still a decent amount of foliage shadowing, but it's primarily the buds now. I have a few fan leaves sticking out here an there. It makes it look kinda weird. I might snip those off in the next day or two. Still zero stress for the few clippings I did yesterday. So I dont want to add any stress unless absolutely necessary. With another week or 2 left, I really want to ensure my lower budding sites are getting as much light as possible. Hence the few off leaves. There also a few lower leaves beginning to yellow. Nothing really exciting. It honestly looks like a deficiency of some sort, but my grow coach said it looks like she's just getting ready for the final push. It could also be due to me lowering the nute dosage. Speaking of, I may have to either pull the blumats or extract the nutrient rich solution. The blumat intake is very small and in a 2 gallon bucket, it might last another month. So I may have to extract a gallon and a half and refill it with distilled. Then I'd have to extract as I go for the rest of the week. I should be down to straight distilled by the beginning of next week. I'm kinda hoping it takes a little less time. I'd like her to start killing off her leaves over the course of her final week. If I have to, I could just pull all nutrient solution and switch straight to distilled. I'll do that on Friday.

Star wars day! Oh how desperately I wish I had some Skywalker seeds.
Moonlight on the other hand is just beautiful. Thick dense colas, purple coming in and some fairly vibrant oranges. She seems to have slowed down her water intake. Snipping off a few more leaves today. Wanna get her cleaned up a bit more. Plus I'm pretty sure she just needs it. I've also managed to cut her dosage down very close to straight distilled. Friday should be straight distilled. However with her drop in water intake, I might just have to switch her straight to distilled. We shall see. Other than that, lots and lots of trichomes. She is getting so very frosty.

As of this morning, moonlight showed ZERO signs of stress. So today I went to town. She really needed it. She just had way too much foliage. And she STILL does. Nutrients are nearly all out of her watering. I will definitely have to swap directly to distilled on Saturday. That should get a kick in some resin production. Hopefully I didn't over do it with the defoliation. I have read soo many different opinions on this. Don't do it at all? Only in the first 3 weeks of flower. Etc. But no real suggestions for autoflowers. She's definitely getting ready for harvest. I am placing my harvest in 10 days, May 14th. Could be wrong and it could be longer but that's my guess. Anyone else? Lol.

Seriously needed to defoliate weeks ago. Definitely didn't train her out far enough making her seriously compact. But she has buds ALL OVER. Last day of nutrients and tomorrow it's just straight distilled for the rest of the grow. Some super rapid resin production last night. It has to be the late defoliation. I read about it in a few places. This is all accidental, so I could be making a huge mistake. She also increased ripening production and her pistils are turning really quickly. I would be surprised if she has more than a week left. But you never know. She's no longer swelling and is just ripening. I think. Lol. It would be super awesome to have amazing buds from her. Not exactly sure what she will yield, but I'm more interested in quality over quantity. I know the better quality, the more quantity. So yep. Can only go up from here. See you on week 11.
