First attempt at growing cannabis. Based on West Coast of Canada I have the following for my indoor setup:
Mars Hydro 40"x40"x71" grow tent located in my basement
Mars Hydro 4" inline exhaust fan w/carbon filter and programmable timer - exhausted to an existing unused exhaust pipe to outside
Phlizon 2000W LED growlight - dimmable
Grow medium - using Pro Mix HP w/ Mycorrhizzae for germination to seedling
No extra nutrients being added until a full blown seedling
Nutrients to be used - Diablo Micro, Grow and Bloom

My first journey into growing my own personal use cannabis! Not much of a green thumb but I am an avid "researcher" so did a lot of info gathering on how to get started. I also tend to do things on the extreme so I was not looking to start out on a frugal budget but not looking to blow the bank either. My setup has run me around $800 to get things going. Starting this journal a week late so no pics from the first week but germinated 3 seeds of Blue Cookies (Girl Scout Cookies x Blueberry) from Crop King Seeds in Vancouver, BC, Canada. So far 3 of 3 have germinated using the soak in spring water and paper towel method (2 seeds started on Aug 21 and a third started on Aug 25). All 3 popped within 2 days and transferred to initial planting medium (Pro Mix in 4" container). Once planted, put them in the grow tent, have LED light on a 18/6 schedule and dimmed to 40% and about 30" above the plants. Will describe each plant status in week 2 entry.
